Great for low carb dietsMay 04, 2010
I found this product in my local grocery store and I was amazed at how tasty it was. It thickens up nice and quick. I recently started a low-carb low fat diet and I was pleasantly surprised to find that a single serving of this does not add that much to your diet. Its very carb-friendly and can serve to thicken up your soups and stews while adding some needed flavor.

I've been using this for about 6 years. I use bisto to thicken my Beef stew. Amazing. Actually flavors as well as thickens !!! Worth every penny!

I love this gravy and so does my whole family. They practically beg for any beef to be cooked with this gravy. I have grown up on this gravy all my life. My grandmother is from Scotland and so is my mom...both have cooked with it for years. My four sisters use it too. I usually use the powder. You have to mix it in a bowel first and then add it to the stock. It can be a little difficult to use at first. I have found that the granules are easier to use than the powder. I have not been able to find it in store shelfs so I have started ordering it online. Hope you enjoy Bisto as much as my family has enjoyed it.

My mom didn't make just any gravy, she always made Bisto, and it can be hard to find. This will always remind me of home. It has a very long shelf life and you can make it thicker or thinner depending on the amount of water used. 170g can is the smaller standard size, but it also comes in a larger size. Love this stuff.

What a great product. A friend got me hooked on this about 14 years ago. She used it to make the gravy in her shepards pie. I have been using it ever since. What a wonder flavor this gives to the pie. My family just loves it. They will make up a small batch themselves with mashed potatoes. This can be found at specialty shops around the US in British shoppes as well. Or you can order it online. Directions are on the cannister. Try it in sheppards pie!!
