Not authentic...May 22, 2013
I love PG tips tea and have been drinking it for years. Usually get the PG Tips Black Tea, Pyramid Tea Bags, 80Count Boxes (Pack of 4) through Amazon's subscribe and save program. But I needed more tea in a short notice. This product with 240bags (sold by SimplyBeautiful on May 7/2013) was the smallest size available through Amazon Prime with 2 days shipping. Arrived on time. Packaging looked different - no "England's No. 1 tea" in red lettering or description of the tea (blend of Assam, Ceylon and Kenyan teas)on the side panels etc. Once I made and tasted the tea -there was no doubt it was not the real PG tips that I've known and grown to love. Tasted stale and weak. Did not form the familiar deep amber colored tea. Usually 1 tea bag makes a nice robust cuppa tea but this one needed 2 bags for some semblance of tea. So disappointing! Amazon was gracious enough to refund the money but could not accept a return as it was a grocery item, so I dumped it all in my compost pile. At least one good thing came out of it! Will stick to the subscribe and save product.

Short sell by DateJun 20, 2013

I do know the product well as I have used it for probably 20 years the delivery was quicker than you stated the main problem was that the product had an expiry date of 10/2013 because of the cost of shipping we ordered a 6 moinths supply and I will probably have to throw out any I have left in October
The best damn English tea, period.Mar 27, 2013
By Mr. Grimm
The is very good tea. More importantly, it is virtually 'all-purpose' tea. I wouldn't recommend it while trying to relax or go to sleep, but otherwise, it is always fantastic. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and of course tea time. I drink the stuff in 90 degree weather its so good. You can buy 14 different varieties of another brand's tea (English Breakfast, English Teatime, etc), or save your pantry some space and buy one large box of this.
I've always been a fan of both black and Ceylon teas, but PG Tips blends these two together to create a very rich, complex, but drinkable tea. DO NOT forget the milk.
PG Tips - The Best Of Britain!Oct 11, 2013
By Deborah Bock
PG Tips is by far the best black tea you will ever taste. It makes a dark, rich brew that will hold up to milk and sugar hot, and makes painlessly easy ice tea. Eight bags per gallon of water, place in fridge overnight and voila! Ready for sugar and lemon, or you can do as we do - just serve as is a for low calorie, highly refreshing beverage. The price per bag can't be beat anywhere! Thank you Amazon, for making one of our household staples more affordable (and available)!
the real english teaJul 16, 2012
i first tasted this tea when I was in London. I took some home and run out. My Canadian worker gave me this tea as a Christmas gift. Just from the first sips...i love it and i knew it's the same tea i had when i was in London. I'm a tea drinker...I drink tea to help digest food and same keep me awake. and, this is perfect. i don't like those scented fancy tea...they are just like for aroma that mixed it with hot water. doesn't do it's job as a tea.
