Don't let the other less than stellar review dissuade you on purchasing OXO beef cubes. They are so tasty without having any kind of sweet, overly salty or blandness which some boullion cubes can have. This is the classic beef broth in the UK. In fact, you can crumble one of these in a cup, add some boiling water and have an instant beef broth, which you can actually enjoy! I cannot say that about any other similar product. I use it in soups, stews, shepherd's pie, anything you want a nice beefy flavor in.
Highly recommended, just wish the price and shipping was more reasonable :(

Better than regular cubes I feel, great beef flavor. I use in place of stock when I only need a cup or so.

The product was known to be good. The shipping charges outrageous. Amazon advertised free shipping over a certain limit. I spent well over that limit and only after checkout was I advised that since Amazon was not supplying the item shipping charges would apply.
